Bricscad 6.0.0004:
New Features
- REFEDIT command and toolbar for in-place editing of reference files and blocks.
- Save to DWG 2004 format. This is actually a "convert on save" operation, so this will affect the performance on save. Performance for save to DWG 2000 remains the same.
- Support DWT extension for templates. The path to the template can now be managed in the options dialog.
- Added a button LWT to the status bar to toggle lineweight display.
- COM: properties StandardScale() and CustomScale() were added in IcadPViewport interface.
Improvements
- Considerable zoom and pan speed improvement when working zoomed in to part of the drawing. It is now much easier to work in heavy drawings.
- Intersection with splines became much faster. Flyover intersection snap also became much faster.
- TRIM command now handles splines.
- Increased gap tolerance for hatch contours, which improves hatch boundary detection.
- Support for extension dictionaries when inserting and copying entities, also when called through COM.
- The program starts up much faster now.
- Extended the context menus for layout tabs.
- Redesign of XRM dialog. Extended the functionality.
- GRREAD now can read the mouse position without waiting for a mousemove. This allows lisp to sample a cursor position without user interaction. For repeated calls, grread still waits for mousemove.
- Added open and save functions to the SDS api.
- CMDACTIVE sysvar now maintains 'Dialog box is active' and 'AutoLISP is active' flags.
Bugfixes
- On deleting an xref block definition, the program would delete other blocks as well.
- DWG 2004 type xrefs were ignored on open.
- For the DRAWORDER command, in some cases, the options 'above' and 'under' could result in the wrong resulting draworder.
- When exiting, with multiple modified open drawings, Bricscad sometimes tried to save the wrong drawing.
- Hyperthreading-Multiple CPUs caused random instability and crashes. Solved by enforcing single processor usage.
- Many problems with trim and extend were fixed.
- Editing classic polylines with object properties toolbar caused mismatch between layers of vertices and header entity.
- It was possible to delete an insert on a locked layer if its attributes were on a layer that was not locked.
- Textsizes in tolerance entities were wrong.
SYSCODEPAGE system variable was used for rendering text instead of the DWGCODEPAGE of the drawing.
- PLOT command, for detailed plot, ignored the printing scale entered and used the scale from the layout instead.
- There were instabilities and misbehaviour with creation and deletion of modelspace viewports.
- If a block contains unsupported entities, exploding it yielded partial exploded block while the insert remains.
- BHATCH did not create boundary if drawing contains entity with degenerated geometry (segments with zero length).
- BHATCH created wrong island for rotated text.
- BHATCH boundary routine mishandled 3DFACE entities.
- Xclip display problems due to mutual incompatibility of xclip data between AutoCAD® and Bricscad.
- It was impossible to switch the font of a textstyle from TTF to SHX in Explorer and STYLE commands.
- It was possible to set a frozen layer current with the entity properties toolbar. This is no longer possible.
- If an attribute definition has EED, the associated attribute should acquire a copy of this EED during block insert.
